Director of Marketing

About this role

The Director of Marketing will lead and advance the content marketing strategy to drive a deep engagement between customers and Aquent. By taking a holistic approach, The Director of Marketing will develop content that is about Aquent’s solutions, connecting brands, services and offerings to address customer pain points.

Additionally, this individual is a key contributor to Aquent’s global brand equity, presence, and positioning. As a brand champion, this individual collaborates with, and guides sales, product and digital marketing teams in articulating stronger value props and delivering high impact, customer-facing materials, and programs across a variety of online and offline platforms.


Brand Management & Brand Equity

  • Articulate differentiated position in the marketplace.

  • Develop brand books for solutions aligned with key target audiences reflecting value prop, brand personality and key messages;

  • Development and implementation of brand architecture and identity system

Content Marketing

  • Leverage customer market analysis to set the brand voice, message architecture, concepting and design for cohesive storytelling and brand communications

  • Manage the thought leadership development efforts.

  • Produce on-brand thought leadership content relevant to digital transformation and other topics

  • Develop and maximize the quality of content produced by digital design and content team

Customer Engagement

  • Stay abreast of trends and new thinking to drive deep customer engagements

  • Monitor competition relative to positioning, messaging, branding and content marketing efforts to sustain competitive differentiation

  • Leverage analytics and commercial insights to develop fresh and relevant content strategies and content.

Product / Solution Launches

  • Collaborate Product to develop the brand's personality, naming, value prop, messaging and launch deliverables.

  • Develop a holistic positioning around how the brand integrates as part of a set of solutions naming that resonates with customers and builds brand equity.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8-10 years relevant brand and content marketing and management experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required as this is a high visibility position, interacting working with C-Suite and senior leaders globally

  • Demonstrated competency in all aspects of developing and driving content marketing strategies and understanding messaging for diverse markets and geographies.
    Strategic Marketing (to include segmentation, customer experience, personas, customer profiles, positioning, identifying unique points of differentiation, competitive intelligence)
    Team player yet at the same time drive results with a bias towards action
